[2 pages total] Items A2017.20.37, A2017.20.38, A2017.20.39, A2017.20.40, A2017.20.41, A2017.20.42, A2017.20.43, A2017.20.44, A2017.20.45, and A2017.20.46 are related to Walter Erbach's participation in the 1938 Nats. The 1938 Nats was held July 6 to July 9 in Detroit, Michigan. Although some original material from the 1938 Nats advertises it as the 11th Nats, this Nats is currently considered the 16th Nats based on other historical research. The first contest that is considered the Nats by the National Model Aviation Museum is the Mulvihill Model Trophy contest event held during the 1923 international air races in St. Louis. |
