The 1930 Nats was held June 30-July 1 in Detroit, Michigan. The American Boy-Youth's Companion magazine, September 1930 issue, advertises the 1930 Nats as the "Third National Airplane Model League of America Contests". This Nats is currently considered the 8th Nats based on other historical research. The first contest that is considered the Nats by the National Model Aviation Museum is the Mulvihill Model Trophy contest event held during the 1923 international air races in St. Louis. |
