Magazine clipping, article about Radio Control flights at the 1941 Nats, "Radio at the National Model Airplane Meet: Radio-Controlled Models and Two-Way Communication Feature Event" by Clinton B. Desoto, WICBD, QST magazine, September 1941, page 15-17, 76, 78, and 80. This items has not yet been scanned. The 1941 Nats was held July 1 to 5 in Chicago, Illinois. (Registration on July 1.) Although some original material from the 1941 Nats advertises it as the 14th Nats, this Nats is currently considered the 19th Nats based on other historical research. The first contest that is considered the Nats by the National Model Aviation Museum is the Mulvihill Model Trophy contest event held during the 1923 international air races in St. Louis. |
