Jim Buxton's Amalgam 6.0, tip launched, or discus launch indoor glider. Model was built from high compression foam, carbon fiber, biased fiberglass cloth, balsa wood and, plastic Flying this model, Jim set a national record for hand launched indoor gliders (unlimited ceiling, Category III) with two flights of 105.9 seconds and 103.5 seconds for a combined flight of 3 minutes 29.4 seconds on April 10, 2010 at the MCAS Hanger in Tustin, CA.
