Atlas Free Flight Cargo model. This model set the national records for the cargo event in 1979, 1980, and 1982, which is still held today. It also holds the current lift record of 100.2 oz. set on 9/27/1982. Model fuselage is blue in color, with a red nose which holds Cox TD.020 C.I. engine, and is attached to a grey two blade propeller. Left side of the fuselage has plate with two levers which reads "Tatone 'Tick Off' 1/2 A" in black lettering. Wing is dihedral, dark yellow in color, and has "18024" across the center in black lettering. Left end of wing has a sticker which features a green flying triangle with "The Thunderbugs" written across it in black lettering. Tail/Vertical stabilizer is also dark yellow in color. |
