Promotional key chain from Colonel Betkey's Flying Circus, sponsored by SIG. Al Betky formed his Flying Circus, a model airplane airshow team, in 1973. His felt there was a need to introduce the public to aeromodeling and provide entertainment to the entire family. At the 1975 Toledo Weak Signals Exposition, the Circus was presented AMA's Distinguished Service award for outstanding PR efforts on behalf of model aviation. The Circus performed through the early 1980s. |
