Jim Wade's 1/2A Proto Speed, Eagle I. White fiberglass fuselage with wooden wing and horizontal stabs. Flying this model, Jim Wade was the 1st person to fly faster then 100 MPH in any 1/2A Proto Speed age division. He set the national record for 1/2 Proto Speed for Senior on 12/1/1974 flying at 101.48 mph. Earlier in that year he set the CL 1/2A Speed record with this same mode flying at 108.27 mph. |
