Peanut Scale Airco DH.2 Free Flight model. Traditionally constructed of balsa wood and covered in tissue. Model originally flew with rubber power, but was later converted to electric and CO2. Built by Tom Hallman in 2000 and won the Walt Mooney Award at the 2000 Flying Aces Club Nationals in Geneseo, NY for the best peanut; won 1st place at the 2002 FAC Nats Power Scale; 2004 FAC Nats Power Scale, and may others over the course of a decade long flying career. 12.87" wingspan. Model comes complete with customized packing/transport box built from standard bankers box. |
