Denis Sumner's P-39/P-63 Air Cobra .15 Quarter Midget Pylon Racer. Fiberglass fuselage and the wing is foam covered in sheeted balsa. White with red and black. Denis raced with Ken Heatlie as the S&H Racing Team. According to the donor, "The P-39 placed 5th at the 1988 Tidewater Virginia NATS, (Ken Heatlie placed 3rd), and Won the Toledo Weak Signals Silver Cup in 1988, 89, 90, 91 and placed 2nd in 92. This is one long and special life for a pylon racer!" |
