Model Airplane - 1946 CL Speed Model
Control Line Speed Class C model by Thomas Burns. Set a National Record of 88.67mph at the 1946 Nats and competed at many other events in 1946-1947. Traditionally built with sheeted balsa wings and fuselage. Covering/painting is no longer detailed and instead shows an overall color of a bluish-green with marks of red and light blue. High wing with no dihedral, installed DeLong 30 engine completely enclosed.

George Perryman's 1951 Wakefield (Free Flight) model. Traditional balsa wood framework construction, covered in tissue. Cabin fuselage with high mounted wing with dihedral; vertical stabilizer points downward. Red and buff. Rubber powered. The wings and stabilizer of this model (installed on a different fuselage) also set a National Record for Rise off water, Category III, Mulvihill Rubber, July 19, 1997 flying for 16 minutes, 20 Seconds.

Atlas Free Flight Cargo model. This model set the national records for the cargo event in 1979, 1980, and 1982, which is still held today. It also holds the current lift record of 100.2 oz. set on 9/27/1982. Model fuselage is blue in color, with a red nose which holds Cox TD.020 C.I. engine, and is attached to a grey two blade propeller. George Perryman's original Bad Black Booger $peckled Bird, Traditional balsa wood framework covered in black tissue. Long square tube fuselage with fin on bottom of fuselage. Gull wing, "v" tail. Black, covered in gold sporadic polka dots. This model was National Champion from 1980 to 1990. It set a National Record of 1,340 feet in 1982.

Model Airplane - Eagle I CL Proto Speed Model
Jim Wade's 1/2A Proto Speed, Eagle I. White fiberglass fuselage with wooden wing and horizontal stabs. Flying this model, Jim Wade was the 1st person to fly faster then 100 MPH in any 1/2A Proto Speed age division. He set the national record for 1/2 Proto Speed for Senior on 12/1/1974 flying at 101.48 mph. Earlier in that year he set the CL 1/2A Speed record with this same mode flying at 108.27 mph.

George Reich's Max Maker Wakefield Model, Free Flight, rubber-powered. A prior model, very similar to this, competed in the 1958 Wakefield Event. Flying this model, George set a national record of 20 minutes 59 seconds on September 26, 1960 in Cleveland, OH and went on to win the 1961 Wakefield event at the Free Flight World Championships.
